Academy’s own to present at 2013 AIGA National Conference

aiga conference ledeFrom October 10–12, designers from across the nation will converge on Minneapolis for “Head, Heart, Hand,” the once-every-two-years AIGA conference for 2013. The School of Graphic Design’s Phil Hamlett and Shel Perkins will be there, sharing their experiences and insights with 2000 of the most creative minds in design today.

Both will be speaking on topics that are central to their work at the Academy. Hamlett, director of graduate studies in Graphic Design, participates in a panel reviewing criteria for graduate thesis projects. Perkins, an Academy instructor known as an expert on the management of design, addresses contracts and trademarks.

Both Hamlett and Perkins are former members of the AIGA national Board of Directors.
