“Continuum,” held by the San Francisco chapter of AIGA on March 6 to honor its newest Fellows, featured a stellar cast…beginning with the Fellows themselves: Jim Ales, Earl Gee and Alyson Kuhn. Now, a video about the event assembles supporting voices, including Graphic Design graduate Julia Lemke.

Lemke earned her BFA in 2014 and has her own practice. She’s among those in the video who share enthusiasm, sources of inspiration, even favorite colors:

Lemke received Monotype Continuing Student scholarships at 2012 Winter Show and 2014 Spring Show, and she was named overall winner in AIGA SF’s 2014 Enrichment scholarships.

The video includes reflections on the Fellowship experience by a number of past honorees, including Shel Perkins, past president of AIGA SF, current chapter treasurer and longtime instructor in the School of Graphic Design.

Of course the March 6 event, held at the photogenic San Francisco Maritime Museum, was attended by Graphic Design School Executive Director Mary Scott—named a Fellow in 2006—and MFA Director Phil Hamlett, AIGA SF’s current president. Both Scott and Hamlett have served on the AIGA national board of directors.
